Sebastes marinus, often known as redfish, has a reddish-brown skin and can be found in depths of 100 to 1000 metres in waters less than 120 fathoms. The Redfish is a tiny, dorsal-finned fish. It has a brown tint while they are young, which changes to red as they get older. When redfish are young, they eat small and juvenile fish, and as they grow bigger, they devour capelins and herrings.
